Football is dynamic, it is constantly evolving. So it would be a mistake to be a fan of only one system, because this game is always changing and it is unpredictable.
What cannot be negotiated is the idea, the style:
1. Offensive mindset
2. Get used mentally and football-wise to attack in small spaces
3. Have many ways to build from goal kick
4. Be intense and dynamic in transitions
5. Constant pressure to recover the ball
6. Keep a high defensive line
7. Short and aggressive team on defense
8. Be strong in set ball
9. Respect the referee and stay focused on the game until it is over
The key word is VERSATILITY. Winning is the main objective, but to achieve victory it is necessary to know how to ADAPT to the circumstances:
1. What the rival proposes
2. Own levels (moments)
3. Circumstances of the game (send-off for or against, goal for or against at the beginning of the game, goal for being dominated or goal against being dominating)
Playing with 3 or 4 defenders, adding someone to the middle or not or playing with a fixed reference in the rival area will be decisions that will be made according to the squad and the moments.
That is why my facet as an analyst is so advantageous to me: having studied the game so much allows me to know how to press on the field and rival and also how to defend in a low block; how to attack in large or small spaces, with the possibility of adapting the team according to what is presented and having worked all the principles and sub-principles of the different systems to resort to them when it is needed, always with victory as the objective and the prominence as a path.
Offensive principles:
1. Pass as a way to communicate
2. Construction of the game from the kick off, having many ways for attacking the space through medium or long exit
3. Driving to fix and generation of the 3rd man
4. Control skills
5. Attack changing orientation (in – out, out – in, wing to wing, short – long)
6. Circulation searching spaces and direct play immediately after recovery
Defensive principles:
1. Intensity in duels (short, long)
2. Adaptation to marking to space and 1v1
3. Profiling correctly
4. Aerial duels and 2nd ball
5. Resolution of counterattacks in inferiority and superiority (positional superiority over numerical)
6. Know how to occupy defensive spaces
